Samantha was skeptical. Their small team didn’t really get the whole virtual events thing. They were all about in-person events, and their virtual efforts had taken a fall. Yet they started talking to us in late 2023, agreed to a €15,000 test, and went on to double their fundraising income in 2024.

In fact, the experience was transformative in a number of ways. Breast Cancer Ireland quickly realised that in-person and virtual donors are completely different audiences. With challenges like Dip-cember and Walk 2K a Day, they’ve connected with whole new communities. They’ve also carved out a unique identity in the crowded Irish cancer charity space.
What also really worked for the small team was that the challenges were fully managed by GYSS, who gave firm guidance, based on constant testing and robust data.
